The Garden Cottage was the first of the 'Çomo Cottages' Brett renovated back in 1992. When he bought the property, there was a series of run down shacks and his vision, creativity, love of antiques and passion lead him to create what we have today in each of the Como Cottages. You can step back in time in this quaint 1920's cottage, complete with polished floors, an old fashioned four poster bed (double), cast iron claw-foot bath, open fire with convict brick surround (which Brett brought over from Tasmania, as well as the Huon Pine bench tops which he made from Huon Pine that he had dredged up from Lake Pedder in central Tasmania. You'll be warm and toasty with the ducted heating and open fire in the cooler months and the and French doors leading onto the covered balcony in the warmer months. Cook up your bacon and eggs on the original Kooka stove (complimentary breakfast provisions are included). The Graden Cottage is located on the Monash Avenue side of the property and it has its own driveway and carport. It is a short stroll, left to Mt Dandenong and right to Olinda Village (500m in either direction). Why not book a massage too at Elle Naturale Olinda to complete your retreat.

What a bed! The old fashioned four poster bed was so comfortable. We drank tea on the balcony and listened to the early morning Kookaburra's, sat by the fire and read some of the old books from the antique bookshelf. We'll definitely be back!
